Ordine la Nistru
Recent, AO „INFO-TERRA” din satul Vadul Raşcov a obţinut finanţare pentru implementarea proiectului "Un mediu sanatos in drum spre Uniunea Europeana", sprijinit de programul de granturi mici în mediu. Autorii proiectului urmează să utilizeze suma oferită la desfăşurarea lucrărilor de curăţare de deşeuri şi gunoişti neautorizate, pe un segment de 16 km, a malului râului Nistru. Potrivit condiţiilor, beneficiarii proiectului vor fi tineretul din primăriile Vadul-Raşcov şi Climăuţii-de-Jos. Drept rezultat, pe malul drept al Nistrului, de la satul Bursuc din raionul Floreşti şi până în satul Poiana, raionul Şoldăneşti.
Vineri, la 27 iunie, colectivul „Info Terra” a şi purces la realizarea celor scontate. De comun acord cu administraţia publică din teritoriu, tinerii din ambele comune au ieşit la lucru. Apelul de a face ordine l-au urmat circa 50 de tineri, care, înarmaţi cu mănuşi şi sacoşe, au adunat deşeurile din regiunea stadionului din satul Vadul Raşcov. Având la dispoziţie mai multe căruţe oferite de consăteni, tinerii au evacuat deşeurile colectate la gunoiştea autorizată a localităţii.
Este important că, alături de copii, la acţiunea în cauză au participat primarul comunei Climăutii-de-Jos, Sergiu Melnic, şi secretarul consiliului local Vadul Raşcov, Larisa Gârneţ, administraţia gimnaziului Climăuţii-de-Jos, Petru Ceban şi Ludmila Gârlea, şi directorul adjunct al liceului „Dumitru Matcovschi” din Vadul Raşcov, Emilia Odae. După totalizarea muncii, Svetlana Prepeliţă, membru al Consiliului Local de Tineret „Noua generaţie” din Vadul Raşcov, a înmânat participanţilor la salubrizarea zonei din preajma bătrânului fluviu Certificate de acces la Centrul Comunitar Acces la Informaţii şi Instruire.
La finele orelor de lucru, tinerii au fost serviţi cu cafea şi dulciuri.
Pentru săptămâna următoare, ne-am pus drept scop să facem ordine pe malul Nistrului împreună cu elevii de la gimnaziile din Cot şi Socola, care anterior şi-au exprimat acordul de a contribui la implementarea proiectului "O comunitate salubră în drum spre Uniunea Europeană", ne-a relatat Vasile Oţel, directorul AO „INFO-TERRA”. Apropo, actualmente, această organizaţie implementează proiectul HEIFER, un proiect de binefacere, cu bugetul de 63000$USA şi cu o durabilitate de cinci ani: 2007-2011, şi beneficiarii căruia oameni din partea locului, familii social-vulnerabile, dar neapărat gospodari. În anii 2007-2008, 40 de familii din Vadul Raşcov au primit 10 iepuroaice şi 2 iepuroi de rasa Neozelandeza şi cele necesare pentru creşterea şi înmulţirea iepurilor.

The Moldovan farmer's plight

We are now well into the growing season and I have had multiple opportunities to observe farming here in Moldova. The vast majority of farms are family owned plots scattered throughout the village and its surroundings. Due to the way the lands were apportioned after independence, each plot is impractically small and of differing quality. There really is no rhyme and reason to the distribution. Instead of one large field of wheat, there are five small fields of corn, wheat, animal feed and grapes. Contributing to the inefficiency of the system, the tractors that everyone relied on were also parceled out. Very few have farm machinery.


What does this mean for the average farmer?

With gasoline and rental prices so high and given the employment market, labor costs low, the only viable solution for many is to work the land by hand and grow all the necessities. It is very hard work, especially during the summer under the hot sun but working families rarely starve. There is usually enough food for the year, with a small surplus that can be sold. Although it is difficult to accumulate wealth and advance under this system, under favorable conditions, families can live relatively comfortably.

Of course, favorable conditions are rather the exception than the norm.

Weather can be inimical to productive farming. Last year, drought caused sharp drops in output from agriculture. Families without salaried members had difficult times and suffered. Fruit and vegetables did not grow well and could not be sold on the market.

Sometimes, families do not even have enough able bodied people to work the fields. Pensioners, disabled persons and families with problem members are prone to labor shortages and live even poorer than the rest of the community. They do not have the ability to cultivate their lands. Often, the solution is to sell their land or to let it lie fallow. The lack of income and produce from their lands hurts greatly.

The current situation is rather insupportable and needs to change if improvement is to occur.

Cred -ca vom gasi limba comuna ,fiind-ca copii din Vadul-Rascov si Climautii de Jos care au participat la salubprizare malului Nistru Vineri /27/06/2008 sunt foarte multumiti de Certificatele de acces liber la INTERNET.
