What was left after the rains, Pt 1

After nearly a week of torrential rains, the village is finally drying out. The river itself has risen, by some reports, seven meters, reaching levels unprecedented in recent memory.

Virtually all that was below the river plateau has been flooded.

Residences located on lower elevations were inundated by the waters. Rowboats replaced horse carts as the transportation of choice. It will be ten days before the river returns to normal levels.

The remnants of my jogging path.
